ANGER MANAGEMENT
Anger is a normal, usually healthy, human emotion that we all experience.
When it grows out of control, however, anger critically wounds relationships
at work and at home. Anger leaves a wake of destruction in its path, sometimes
causing irreversible damage to a person's life. Physicians who have a
low tolerance for frustration or inconvenience often find it difficult
to channel anger constructively. In some cases, the expression of anger
by physicians has significantly impacted co-workers, patients, and peers.
This workshop is designed for those physicians whose anger has become
an obstacle to healthy interactions.
|
A therapeutic workshop has been designed for physicians who need
to manage their anger. Participation in the workshop is by self
or employer referral. The content of each workshop includes:
|
|
|
* Identification/Acceptance of Anger
* Recognition of Anger Patterns
* Expressing Anger Appropriately
* Learning and Practicing Healthy Communication
* Respecting One's Self and Others
